MODULARMAN

MODULARMAN was born in the eerie back alleys of Mt Lawley which is a seething hot bed of Artistic flow. The band members come from diverse backgrounds: Panda Band, Rollerskates and rat in the Brain, which allows the music space to work within. Le MODULUR man is a nod to Swiss-French urbanist and designer Le Corbusier the pioneer of what is now known as modern architecture. It translates the mathematical symmetry that exists in the human body into architecture and design. MODULARMAN as a band brings that experience into a sonic frame of reference. This is reflected in their stage set up, performing in a straight line and delivers balance and energy along that continuum. The musical influence for the individuals can be felt through the live performance and the emphasis is on timing and clarity. It would be an honour to be mentioned with the likes of Battles, Animal Collective, Ratatat, Squarepusher and Tool but the realisation is the answer is “this is where we’ve been”, then the question is “where are we going?”. Aharr me mateys... MODULARMAN pushes off from shore this autumn in search of the sound of now.
