Modus Vivendi is three dudes from Yutan, NE population: 998"""20 miles west of Omaha. We've been beating a 13 song album into the ground for over six years. We are yet to release any of our original material, but hope to do a demo soon so we can get out to the people. Basically it's all about the music. We began playing together in highschool and have been off and on for the 6 years. The time we spent apart helped to create what we have now. We grew apart and learned differnt styles of music. Played with other musicians and somehow we always came back to that first thing that made us fall in love with the life that music had to offer. We are older, wiser, and fearless behind our instruments.
Our influences come from a long line of oldies but we have'nt done that much research. We grew up in the nineties when grunge was alive. Pixies, Nirvana, Melvins, Hum, Elliot Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, Pavement, Big Black, June of 44 are some of our influences.
