Biography

MOEBIUS
Hailing from the gussett of Dublin Moebius were conceived on the back of three groups, Blackdog, Stigma and The Experimentors, bringing something different to the Irish music scene. Combining the different influences of their previous bands respectively, a Led Zeppelin Tribute, an early nineties Punk/New Wave band and an Electronic act. The three Dubliner's Mick, Paul and Keith have been together for just under a year and are producing tunes with tonnes of attitude and power, melding their individual influences, giving you everything and the kitchen sink.
Born as a result of the determination and passion of Keith and Paul they set up Laptar Music an Independent Label, collaborating with like minded artists The Street Urchins, The Underclass and Soller they have developed an original sound from influences such as Orbital, The Stone Roses, The Who and Kasabian to name but a few.

In April 2007 Moebius released their debut ep, Under Wraps, independently on their own label Laptar Music. The ep was selected as CD of the fortnight by Jackie Hayden in his First Cuts column in Hotpress and has got airplay in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Wicklow, Manchester, Spain and New York. Moebius have also appeared live on Mike Hogan’s Open Mic night and received rave reviews. Following on from the ep release, Moebius decided to recruit a drummer into the band to compliment their sound and are proudly a four piece outfit. Moebius are currently scheduled to play in the Castle Palooza Festival in August and the West Cork Bhoy Festival in Skibereen, also in August. Moebius will also be releasing a single in July, so check back for a release date. Check out the tunes, feel free to leave feedback and hopefully enjoy the music,THE MOEBIUS CREW.
