Yes, that time of year is approaching again, the time when the city of Liverpool, already full to the brim with musical heritage, is further filled with musical delights over the series of a month (yes the title may be somewhat untrue) courtesy of Liverpool Music Week 2009.

Former churches turned restuarants, your favourite bars and venues all play a part in hosting this years acts which include the likes of indie heavyweights Kasabian to the dancefloor friendly sounds of Calvin Harris.

Bio

The Moguls formed in Liverpool in 2008 and are now sort after on the
local music scene. The trio have created their own sound which has
produced emotive and well received gigs iup and down the country.
The band has a rare formation of two front men, Phil and Steve, who
offer a diverse sound. They both play the keys and guitar and with the
ever inovative drummer Chris create some beautiful and uplifting songs. The
band have a number of influences and have been likened to numerous
artists from The Doors and Radiohead to TV on the Radio. However what is
certain is the sound is unique and will make you want more. Over the
past two years they have played regular gigs at both ends of the M62. In
Liverpool they have made regular appearances at the likes of Korova,
Magnet, Bumper, Alma de Cuba and Parr street. As well as being included
in the line ups of both 'Liverpool Music Week' and 'Sound City'. Over the last
year the Moguls supported the 'Wild Beasts' and 'Golden Silvers'. In Manchester they have played at venues such as the Manchester
Academy and 'Night and Day' and reached the semi-finals of 'Academy
Unsigned'.
