Koffeehouse Music Produces Largest Evening of Independent Music in the History of The Sundance Film Festival

Park City, UT, February 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Listed by Film.com as one of the top 10 parties during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, Koffeehouse Music featured nearly 30 singer/songwriters and bands on January 23, 2011 at the Koffeehouse Chateau (www.parkcitychateau.com). The event is believed to be the largest evening of independent music conducted during the Sundance Film Festival.
Katharine Rutt, Field Producer for the Sundance Festival After Dark series at Park City Television, said this about the Koffeehouse Chateau music event: "I've been attending the Sundance Film Festival now for 14 years and have attended 100s of events. “The Sundance Film Festival started over 30 years ago as a place to bring independent filmmakers together and have them heard,” says Koffeehouse founder Jeremy Koff. “Koffeehouse Music shares the same spirit of providing a voice to independent artists -- in this case musicians -- to be heard by industry.”
Now in its second year, the “Koffeehouse Chateau” event attracted nearly 200 celebrities, musicians, industry executives, and passionate music listeners to a private location in the hills near Park City. The event featured musicians from as far away as Australia and as close as neighboring Salt Lake City.
This year’s Koffeehouse Chateau performers included: The Kin, Tim Myers (formerly OneRepublic), Falk, Sean Douglas, Ariana Hall, Trent Hancock, Keeley Valentino, Erick Macek, Shawn Hlookoff, Jess Furman, Cameron Rafati, Ryan Innes, Moi Navarro, Duwende, Los Einstein, Jenni Alpert, The Orbit Group, Zachary Galinas, Amy Lennard, Jaime Along, Jen Waters, Jarret Burns, Michelle Vreeland, Chris Accardo, Melinda Ortner, Natalise, Tom Hopkins, Tamara Taylor and more.
Other Koffeehouse events surrounding Sundance included 14 featured artists on Park City Television’s “Morning Mountain Show” and featured televised segments and multiple days of live music for the Fender Music Lodge, Fatali Gallery and private celebrity events.

For Moi Navarro, while growing up, music was never too far from home and a guitar was always within reach since both of his parents were singer songwriters. Moi is an independent artist in the music industry based in Los Angeles, California. Over the years Moi has gained a prominent fan base that reaches regional, statewide, nationwide, and worldwide. His diversity is more than just skin-deep, as his music is interwoven with influences of funk, rock, soul, folk and jazz. Moi’s ballads are emotional and heartfelt as they tell a story and invoke tremendous feeling, portraying sincere transparency, letting you see into his soul. Music to Moi is best described as a marriage. “Marrying a set of meaningful lyrics with an intense, unique and beautiful melody is the key to a great song”.
Moi has earned a massive grassroots following through hard work, determination, and consistent touring throughout the years. Moi continues to grow, and is blessed that through every stage people have been touched and encouraged by his music. He reaches a wide spectrum audience with his passionate music, straight-forward lyrics, and unique stories. Being able to communicate with others how he feels inside through his music comes second nature to him, it just flows.
An up-and-coming voice in Indie Rock Music, Moi performs solo and with his full band, also known as "MOI". Moi Navarro has had an amazing edge at being successful as an independent artist.

Moi was invited by Koffehouse Music Production to participate in several events surrounding Sundance including Park City Television’s “Morning Mountain Show”, Koffeehouse’s Chateau music event, multiple days of live music for the Fender Music Lodge, Fatali Gallery, and private celebrity events.
December 2010 - Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Sacramento, CA. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his first lady Maria Shriver invited Moi to provide musical entertainment during the lighting of the State Christmas Tree at the Capitol in Sacramento.
October 2010 - Nero HD Theater invited Moi to be a part of their online video campaign promoting their newest video editing software. Nero will be creating numerous music videos using Moi songs that will begin playing in 2011.
