"GET AMPED ON THIS MOISTBREEZY MIX"

First impressions can be hard to shake for a DJ mix. The New York City–based producer Moistbreezy showed that she understands that point with a mix she put out earlier this month on Nest HQ, Skrillex’s free online imprint. She opens the set on an immediately engaging note with “Need U,” a euphoric track from 2012 by the Scottish producer Unicorn Kid, who’s more or less disappeared from the spotlight in the last two years after a run of great singles, mixes, and remixes inspired by late-’90s trance. That sweet, upbeat style carries through the rest of Moistbreezy’s mix, even as she finds room for tracks by maximalist electronic artists like Rustie (“Big Catzz”) and Liz, whose SOPHIE-produced “When I Rule the World” is a highlight. The mix also includes an untouched version of The Killers’ 2008 song “Human,” providing a light reprieve from techno dramatics as we consider the song’s ponderous question: “Are we human, or are we dancer?”

Much of the mix is devoted to Moistbreezy’s personal favorites (in an interview with Nest HQ, she mentions that she “can only hope Unicorn Kid makes a comeback”). But it finds its true stride in her own work, like an innovative “Full Moisture” remix of the title track from Kesha’s 2010 debut, Animal. Where the original was a glitter bomb of EDM pop, Moistbreezy reimagines the song as a happy hardcore classic, with an effect akin to pouring sugar packets into a bottle of Mountain Dew. And so the mix goes by in an overcaffeinated blink — just the kind of exciting ride promised by the pitched-up vocals that kick off Unicorn Kid’s “Need U” half an hour earlier. - MTV News

"100% OF PROCEEDS FROM MOISTBREEZY’S ‘MISS ME’ EP GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD"

New York City’s moistbreezy is back with a brand spanking and deeply emotional new EP, Miss Me. 100% of proceeds from the sale of these songs goes to Planned Parenthood, or if you want to make a direct donation you can do so here. All four songs boast beautiful sound design and compelling hooks, but the last song “Boys Like U” is an absolutely breathtaking journey through bouncey hyper-house sounds ending in an instrumental breakdown that might make you weep. Great record, great cause, you know what to do – get it here. - Nest HQ

"moistbreezy – ☆ MISS ME ☆"

☆ MISS ME ☆ is the first single from rising producer and vocalist moistbreezy‘s latest EP. It has been said in the past that “breezy is a phenom.” I stand by this sentiment whole-heartedly. Taking heavy cues from 90’s rave jams, breezy transmutes her eclectic tastes in electronic music into extremely palatable, catchy, and boundary blurring pop anthems. breezy is not only an intelligent and well-rounded artist, but also a philanthropist – so it’s worth noting that one hundred percent of the proceeds from this EP will be donated to Planned Parenthood, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing socially necessary care to women. - 1833.fm

"PREMIERE: MOISTBREEZY CREATES A BIG THEATRICAL FANTASY WORLD IN HER REMIX OF NYC’S BOYSLASHFRIEND"

moistbreezy, the Brooklyn based princess of theatrical fantasy pop, is back this week with a new splash of audible bliss. Her latest production has her accompanying Obey City, Canblaster, Swick, hi tom, and others as part of a remix pack surrounding the recent works of NYC act, BOYSLASHFRIEND. Her contribution, a rework of the stripped back R&B roller, “Timeline”, invites the original to play around in an expansive and dreamlike dance territory.

“[A good track is] anything that elicits some sort of emotional reaction imo,” moistbreezy tells us in her latest NEST interview, “I really like when I can ‘see’ the track in my mind.” I think she achieved this in her remix of “Timeline”. While listening to the track I see a slow-mo pan over the green styrofoam hills of a candyland-meets-OZ type landscape. What do you see?

BOYSLASHFRIEND’s The Lowkey Remixes pack drops October 7th via Feel Up Records. - Nest HQ

"★moistbreezy☆ …takeover"

More than anything, I gotta take a fucking shower. But with all this catfishing these days… KING-OF-THE-IRON-GOON title just might be submerging into realms that I don’t give a shit, at this point. Or like getting PR e-mails about S U R V I V E doing the soundtrack to Stanger Things, and I’m thinking to myself, “Yeah, I want that, but the boss enrolled me in a workshop, and summercamp ain’t happening this summer.” Basically, I’m daring people to call me out on playing ★moistbreezy☆takover INTERNET EXPLORER radio show #45 at their place next. Shit, if you’re at my next party, expect to just dance, because why are you just, like… These couches are here to sleep on… We have toothbrushes if you plan on staying the night. Why do all the white, spoiled kids gotta have fun: friends are worth keeping, so pop ★moistbreezy☆ takover INTERNET EXPLORER radio show #45 on SPEAKER asap for climax. That’s it: - Tiny Mix Tapes

"moistbreezy shares new track 'weightless'"

Moisturize your situation with New Yorker moistbreezy and her latest release 'weightless' - her first since her Dim Mak label debut with LA duo CETENA (PSA: this is an indie release and not with Dim Mek). I get the feeling that moistbreezy should really be part of the PC Music family, with those futuristic beats, scatter-happy synths and angelic vocals.

"This song is very special to me because it came to me when I was on a bus home for Christmas," she said of the track. "Almost as though it was coming from somewhere beyond myself. It’s one of the few things I’ve made that really moved and surprised me when I made it; all I can really hope for with putting this out is that it equally moves someone else out there." "CETANA X MOISTBREEZY – RUNNING (FREE DL)"

Any EDM track that involves the word “moist breezy” is probably gonna rock your socks and then turn your little sleepover into a napless burial. But hey, we didn't expect this kind of melodic electro dub hype stuff from Dim Mak Records. The collab here from CETANA and moist breezy is kind of like an Adventure Club / Madeon type of thing. Pretty sure one of these dudes sampled Super Mario – and you'll feel like Luigi on a treadmill after the 20 second mark. Need more answers? Get acquainted in the box and if you're not afraid of donating at Whole Foods get the free DL. iTunes has it and Beatport does, too. - EDM Sauce
