Where has it gone, all the beautiful music of our grandparents?
Dis, Dat ‘n’ D’Udda will take you on a journey and take you along the moonlit waters of the bayou and along the deep and wide Mississippi river. Sailin’ up and sailin’ down, down, up, up and down the river, let it roll. From pre-war popular tunes and traditionals to early Rock ‘n’ Roll and mixed with some nowaday tunes in the New Orleans tradition.
We’ll take you on a journey, with Fats, Louis, Dr. John, Oscar Brown Jr. through Woodie Guthrie, Hank Williams besides Nat “King” Cole, Count Basie to The Rolling Stones and Prince with influences of Folk, Country, Americana, Early Jazz, Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Bluegrass, tryin’ to capture that New Orleans Spirit.
People will listen to some classics they never have heard before or maybe they recognize the melodies which are so familiar. But when the tempo of the music rises ev’rybody’s gotta move, shake their hips, ‘cause the rhythm will catch you, there’s no escape in it. It’s a whole new experience with old time music.
