"Pride of Iowa"

Originally from Georgia, Hip-Hop artist and rapper, Mojo-Mayne is about to put Sioux City, Iowa on the map. His newest project Born 2 Do It, released in March of 2013 is filled with hit after hit. There’s a song in his catalogue for all, which range from bossy street anthems to hood love ballads. Not to mention, there’s a few inspirational tracks in the mix, as well. - Parle Magazine

"Local Artists Makes Billboard"

Antonio Stewart doesn't like to linger on a success, even if that success is landing the No. 12 spot on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart. The Siouxland-based rapper who goes by the name Mojo Mayne was thrilled when he discovered the news earlier this month.

"It's like winning part of a race and knowing there's still more to go" said Stewart. "I felt great, but reality hit. That's just another piece to the puzzle. It's an achievement. That's the crème de la crème of charts."

Stewart's song "Bad Girl" was initially ranked No. 15 on the Hot Singles Sales chart during its first week of release. The following week it raised three more spots. The Billboard chart placement, he said, has given him further inspiration to move forward in his music career.

"One achievement doesn't mean you've reached the end," said Stewart. "I definitely have more goals going on. My ultimate goal is to be a songwriter and also to do more licensing. In order for me to do that, I have to show the industry that what I'm writing is viable."

Although currently based in Siouxland, Stewart spent a great deal of time growing his musical strengths in Georgia playing in different bands and catching the interest of labels like Def Jam South in Atlanta and Octane Records in Phoenix.

While living in Atlanta, he performed with a group called Onetyme, which found success playing regional shows throughout the Southwest. When he returned to Iowa, Stewart continued delving into music and recorded a mix album of originals called "Street Voodoo" and collaborated with other nearby artists.

Today, Stewart looks to continue building his brand as an artist. This Billboard placement could be a pivotal first step into the industry. He's wary to not get caught up in his accomplishment, but you can bet his determination is at an all-time high to try and top that success.

"I want to focus on what's happening next," he said. "I gotta continue to focus on progress. Keep moving." - The Sioux City Journal

Bio

Mojo grew up, and was raised in Augusta and Atlanta, GA. After high school, he moved to Iowa, away from his stepdad's hurtful behavior. Mojo has played with different bands, on many musical fronts. He caught the interest of Def Jam South, in Atlanta, and Octane Records (Phoenix, AZ). With the group Onetyme, they performed extensively in the Southwest regional area, including South Carolina, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbia, SC and Aiken, SC. Unfortunately, two of the band members ended up incarcerated. When that happened, the band was finished. Sales from their CD was hot, however the talented and persistent Mojo sold over 5 thousand CDs from the trunk of the car!
Mojo pushed on and created a local TV program in Augusta, GA, “The Unsigned” (www.theunsignedshow.com). He interviewed celebrities and other artists and had a nationwide distribution deal with PAX network, which became ION. As funding was too scarce to keep the production afloat, the show soon lost its steam. This did not stop him from attracting major sponsors for the program and even integrating them into the show itself.
Tragically, his sister was murdered in 2010 and his aunt passed away shortly after from medical complications- 2010 through 2012 necessary time for reflection and refocus. He later released more songs with other artists, creating fresh buzz.
With a brand new year, 2018!, upon him and his many fans, Mojo is so excited that the single Bad Girl busting out  this February!

There are many achievements set before him. Some most recent success was making  the Billboard Hot 100 Single sales Chart this past November, and getting signed with Bungalo Records. Listening to his music its easy to see why; his music bleeds through him, its genuine, and has a fresh sound the industry is craving for!

Writing music is another aspect of Mojo Mayne.  He has written original content for his band(WinkLoveLoss). This was done because of his affection for music, and leaves opportunities for Mojo Mayne to perform LIVE with  his band and can truly go from his rap records to rock seamlessly. Mojo  Mayne leaves you wanting more, you can experience for yourself why a talent like Mojo Mayne is making a name for himself in the industry, and in everyday peoples lives.

His musical influences are as diverse as his tastes in music, running a variety from rock, to country, rap, r&b, jazz, reggae and hip hop. An infusion of musical blends that breathe fresh life into one another

“I envision music soaring to the forefront of our lives, taking a backseat to all the violence, hate and negativity. Going to shows where musical transformation is everything. The grand center of attention and positive influence in everyone's lives throughout the entire planet. Every living being thrives when music absorbs into their lives. Miraculous things happen!”
“For me, my music has achieved greatest success when it grabs someone who has been down and lifts them up, transforms them to their highest level of excellence. It's all in what you envision for yourself. Open yourself to the greatness life presents and you shall receive it in incredible, unbelievable ways.”
“I'm not concerned with what everyone else is doing or how many people are listening to them, just as long as I grab that chance to be inspirational doing my thing, telling my own story of hope, of the highs in life that keep you in the right place.”
My goal in the industry reflects my life choices – that is to be the best man that I can be, with a helping hand toward humanity, and leave a hopeful legacy for my children to learn from and appreciate and carry on the good news to the next generations to come.”
