Mojo Mothership

Mojo Mothership launches a full scale blues celebration that's ignited by a sincere reverence for its musical roots. The Mothership's voyage began when Cindy and Martin Abramo combined singing and
musical talents with close friend, singer/guitarist Eddie Gumm back in 2012. These three unique vocalists
from Winchester, VA., masterfully honor great blues legends ranging from Muddy Waters to Bonnie Raitt.
Authentic music, passionately played, is what sets this band apart.  The mission of Mojo Mothership invites audiences to "get on board" with the old-school funk motto -                                                             "put a glide in your stride, and a dip in your hip".

This 7 piece band literally has over 200 years of combined musical proficiency. The "Fat Back" rhythm section consists of bassist Paul Schmitz and drummer Don Capps. They lay down a delectable
southern-fried groove across a collection of great music. Martin's traditional harp playing provides deep soulful textures that truly embrace the origins of the blues. Vintage sounding guitar work with luscious tone are abundantly delivered by Mudgey Farris, and tasteful, seasoned keyboard work is skillfully infused by the "Professor", H. Steven Ritenour.
