Mojo Queen

High energy and engaging, Mojo Queen is a project founded on the love of soul, funk and R&B music. Originating as a one time hoot night tribute to Ike and Tina Turner, Mojo Queen has turned into a full foot tapping, hip swinging, head shaking group that highlights lesser known tracks from soul history. Focusing on writers such as Ashford and Simpson, Mojo Queen reinvigorates the soul machine. Led by two lovely ladies who share lead and background vocals and who research the songs and all of their versions, study and incorporate the recorded choreography, and combine with bass, lead guitar, and drums to create an authentic and genuinely new soul experience for the Austin area.
