"...they play songs that are kind of about love - sucky love - and freedom that isn’t so free....like a relationship in which you're not really sure if you're in or out - all with a sticky rhythm like the gum on the bottom of your shoe on a hot afternoon. Between the vibe that suggests Talking Heads, B52s and Buddy Holly and the way they ride a groove to the edge of Pink Floyd, Molino is intriguing, relaxing and exhilirating at once, like a cat in and out of a paper bag.

Bio
Based out of Los Angeles and named after the street he grew up on, Molino began as the solo project of Abraham Rodriguez-Smith (ex-La Fin Du Monde, Maw and Paw). After having played bass for the last few years in a few different projects, he finally felt it was time to try his own thing. Joined by friends Suki Ewers (ex-Opal, Mazzy Star), Clifford Novey (The Youngs), and Jason Payne (Nitzer Ebb, La Fin Du Monde) to help finish recording the first EP for the band, the tracks come together to bridge the gap between psych rock stoniness and shoe gaze ambience, all wrapped up in a friendly package thats gonna smoke the world with the rock n roll...
