MØ

Besides playing a few gigs at f.x. CMJ in October 2012, MØ is spending the fall in the studio wrapping up her anticipated debut album, with danish production entity No Wav, who are also responsible for other notable acts, such as Quadron (Epic Records) and Rhye (Polydor Records)

Listeners can expect the same kind of lush, warm production as the aforementioned acts. However MØ brings the Scandinavian cold/cool, and a stree tvibe edge to the songs, which makes for a sonic juxtaposition. Her unique mix of indie, pop, hiphop, electronics and soul, is hella fresh sounding, and it genuily sounds like MØ is fighting a battle of mixed emotions inside herself.

German hipster magazine U Mag already hailed MØ as "the next Grimes", and having played alongside canadian Purity Ring, it seems like MØ is about to experience similar hype as those aforementioned acts.

There is not much info out there on MØ who tends to let her music do the talking. But her facebook biography reveals a glimpse of her current state of mind:

"The snow nation is eating your brain and your young heart - dark as the apocalypse. So just go perish in the snøw. mø mø mø MØ MØ MØ"
