Bio
Monarch Sky is an original female fronted melodic hard rock group from Edmonton, Canada. The group is comprised of Brandy Black with melodic yet clutching powerful lead vocals, Jason Cullen all the way from Ireland, on lead guitar and screams, Mike Belitsky on drums, and Genaro Martino on bass with melodic backup vocals. The band formed back in 2011 and has blown up tremendously since, making such accomplishments as recording and releasing their first 5 track EP in June 2013 titled "Embryo", following with a Western Canadian tour in August 2013, headlining a Canada Day music festival in their home town, and recording a music video for their first single titled "Circles" which has yet to be released in December 2013. Monarch Sky is recognized for it's melodic vocal harmonies, and heavy undertones, and in a recent EP review with New Transcendence, were compared to a mix between bands Evanescence and Tool. Monarch Sky's influences include bands such as Chevelle, Deftones, Tool...etc.
