Mondo

Originally “5RiGHT” from May 2007-May 2013, I spent time playing at raves, underground music parties, and house parties. Once I turned 17, “Blend” (blendnights.com), a weekly EDM club, invited me to play at their club after seeing me perform an EDM showcase at a small bar. Two months later, I was offered a residency at Blend where I still play regularly to this day. I’m honored to be playing at Blend as it has earned many notable awards, one of which was awarded by NUVO for the past three years, distinguishing Blend as one of Indianapolis’ best EDM Clubs.

Once I started college, I embraced my passion for EDM and took more opportunities where I could be exposed to it. At the end of my freshman year, I officially re-branded 5RiGHT to Mondo and decided to pursue music more seriously with the help of my manager, Aleks Frelas. Initially, I focused on playing at Greek houses and strove to strike interest of EDM into a predominantly hip-hop-based crowd. As Mondo flourished over the year, the occasional DJ events started turning into more frequent events and the sizes of the venues grew from mere house parties to crowded night clubs and music festivals. Through all my events, I have had the wonderful opportunity to perform with many successful artists and producers including, but not limited to, Slater Hogan, Dirtyloud, David Solano, E-V, Hugh Jeffner, Matt Allen, DJ Defi, Copyright, Kodama, F12, Steady B, Grime Time, PRXZM, and Matt Chavez (Chicago). Since the release of my first EP, “Sunrise On Mars”, on July 27, I have released numerous other original productions and collaborative works. Presently, I still retain my residency at Blend and have been offered multiple other residencies. As I continue the path of an aspiring musician and college student, I welcome every Mondo performance as a fruitful opportunity to venture to greater things.
