MoneyBagz Shawty

Artist Keenan Williams, professionally known as MoneyBagz Shawty, is a Hip-Hop rapper that hails from the West side of the windy city. MoneyBagz comes into the music game talking about life as a twenty-one year old coming up in Chicago’s cold streets. Being involved in the streets have definitely made an impact on Moneybagz rap style and content. Many have compared his rap style to the likes of 50 Cent and Lil Wayne.
MoneyBagz Shawty is currently working on his debut album with, up and coming producer and cousin, Jon Locke. His debut single ‘Get It’ is set to impact radio the week of January 31, 2011, nationally. With his debut album set to be released sometime in the summer of 2011, Moneybagz will begin to embark on small performances throughout the Midwest region and eventually branch off into other regions. Along with his promotional tour, Moneybagz will be doing a handful of giveaways including merchandise and songs.
Moneybagz Shawty started his rap career at age fifteen when he was then going by the name Shorty Fresh and released his first mixtape ‘Street Dreams Vol. 1’ hosted by DJ GreenLantern. Coming off the heels of that mixtape, Moneybagz single ‘Hit Em Up’ was released to college stations across the country and smaller commercial stations in the South. After a few bumps in the road through his teenage years, Moneybagz is looking forward to tell his story through his music for the world.
With Moneybagz Shawty debut single ‘Get It’ hitting radio the first week of February of 2011 and working on his new album, this plans on being a big year for him and a launch pad for his career.
