Money for Rope are a sprawling 5-piece devil-may-care ‘rock’n’soul surf garage’ band from Melbourne Australia. They’ve started making significant waves in the UK and Europe with well-received showcase performances and extensive touring, supporting the likes of Courtney Barnett on her recent full EU tour.
Blistering performances at Great Escape Festival, in Brighton last summer led to an album deal with one of the UK’s top talent-spotting independent record labels ‘Killing Moon’ (Jack Garratt, Fickle Friends, Racing Glaciers) in no small part, due to their infamous live shows - riotous and oozing rabid energy, enthusiastic performances have resulted in the band performing in casts and
wheelchairs.
The combined force of two drum kits, two guitars, a bass, three voices and keys offers a brand of sophisticated yet relatable rock’n’roll from a bunch of guys whose day jobs include manufacturing cassettes, mixing other people’s music and pressing vinyl - singing about things they talk about in the pub.
Proving themselves in an often harsh climate of the Australian rock scene, Money For Rope have achieved healthy record sales and extensive national radio play. They have appeared at all of
Australia’s key festivals, both ‘boutique’ and major and supported the likes of Dan Sultan, Rose Tattoo, Cosmic Psychos, Hanni El Khatib, White Denim, Bob Log III, Those Darlins and The Living End, earning them a Best New Artist nomination in Melbourne’s prestigious The Age’s EG Awards.

Hailing from Melbourne Australia, Money for Rope are a twin drummer fueled 6 piece Rock & Band that pull out all the stops.
The band have been honing their skills touring Australia over the last couple of years and have earned the reputation as one of the countries most formidable live acts.

Money for Rope have released Albums in Australia and Spain and will be embarking on a European Tour this October/November consisting of dates in Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden and the U.K.
The band are currently in talks with The Planetary Group, Spirit and Panache Bookings for representation stateside.
The band are also signed with The Music Playground in NYC for syncing and placement
