MONICA JEFFRIES

MONICA JEFFRIES is the title of the solo project by the vocalist & producer of the same name and was first launched in 2013/2014.

It did not take very long for Monica Jeffries to build up a growing fan base and her music has been positively acclaimed by the critics and celebrated musicians from the black electronic scene. Her self composed & produced Dark Synth Pop / Synth Rock Songs have the power to both hypnotise & captivate the audience. The artist with the inimitable voice has regularly demonstrated this at live shows & support tours with major artist colleagues and at several Festivals like Nocturnal Culture Night 2014, Euro Rock 2015, Castle Party 2015 & Autumn Moon Festival 2015.

Monica Jeffries was born in Lodz on 31.10.1985. She initially grew up in Warsaw and then, from 1989, in North Rhine Westphalia. Her mother (Artist, painter) and her father (Musician, violinist) inspired her to take up music. Her inimitable, distinctive voice, full of passion and feeling, soon enjoyed much recognition. She began to play piano in 1994 and guitar in 1997, taking singing lessons and gaining from 2000 - 2006 invaluable experience performing in various bands. During this period she performed as vocalist and lead guitarist & started composing. She also learned to play bass and drums. From 2007 she has been heavily into electronic music, recording in studios from 2008. She has composed 2009 songs with her own programmed instrumentals. In 2010 she built her own home studio and released songs in collaboration with other artists. In 2012 she produced her Synthpop inspired debut album, which was released in 2013 to much positive critical acclaim from the music media.

In 2014, the 29 year old artist released her EP *OLD DEMONS*.

She was the opening act for THE CRÜXSHADOWS on their *Light & Shadow Tour* in June 2014. In September 2014 in Hamburg, she launched *BLOOD - an Exclusive Special Pre-Release Show* from PROJECT PITCHFORK and was the supporting act for FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY in October 2014. In February & March 2015 Monica was the supporting act for PROJECT PITCHFORK on their *Blood Tour 2015* & in April & May 2015 the supporting act for THE CRÜXSHADOWS on their *Searching for the Beautiful Truth Tour 2015*. In October 2015 she performed as the supporting act for DAF.

In 2015, the artist released her 3-Tracks-EP called *IN CIRCLES* and signed a label contract with Trisol Music Group who re-released her EPs and will release her full-length album on April 29th 2016.
