Bio

Monique

Music was always the natural career choice for Monique Gonzalez. She began her vocal training at the Jackie Arredondo Conservatory, during which Monique strengthened her voice and quickly learned to become a bilingual singer. To complement her singing skills and make her a well-rounded entertainer, she began taking dance classes to enhance her performing art skills. Not too long after that, Monique continued to develop her versatility by beginning to write songs.

In 2005, she was invited to perform on Noche De Estrellas and began to forge an incredible and exciting career with her debut single Que te Valla Bien. Shortly after, Monique received first place at a contest hosted by The Gaitan Brothers held at BONGOS behind the American Airlines Arena in Miami. With school, music training, dance classes, singing and writing songs Monique maintained a great level of productivity. Even with her busy schedule, she was recruited by the Green Agency where she modeled for various high end designers throughout the world. Later that year, Monique was enlisted by SOUTHLINE MUSIC GROUP to become a Music Idol. Since then Monique has worked alongside some of the industry's A list producers and writers to create a unique blend of pop and dance music. This savvy infusion of genres has been received with open arms from both critics and an ever growing fan base.

Since her signing, Monique has performed to many audiences, as well as in many original venues around South Florida such as The Cardoso Hotel, The Stage at Ramblas Plaza, Bongos at the American Airlines Arena, Voodoo Lounge and Passions night club to name a few. She has also regularly performed at the Opera House in Downtown Miami and has booked an array of corporate events. Monique is also an upstanding member of her community giving her time to both local and national charity organizations - performing for the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, and the Make a Wish Foundation. Her most special visit to Radio Lollipop at the Miami Children's Hospital heightened the spirits of ailing cancer patients. All these opportunities have provided Monique with a platform where she has extended her demographics and performing style.

Monique's artistry is a direct reflection of herself; original, inventive, lively, honest, and dynamic. Her persona has been a driving force in her profession. Monique's plans to make a mark in the world as a music icon are certain - as her work ethic and desire remain a true testament to her budding and ever-growing career.
