Steve wrote a title song by request from Les LaMotte, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Sudan Hope for his upcoming documentary and feature film titled “Without A Voice” produced by BackStage Digital Media, Minneapolis Minnesota and Valinsky Media, Hollywood California, USA.

Steve will be performing his song “Without A Voice” live as a guest artist at the Sudan Hope VIP Charity Fundraising Gala event held November 21, 2009 in Hollywood CA.

As a successful session guitarist for many years, UK based Steve Mansfield began songwriting in 2008 but soon released his first album with Ditto Music under their Green China Record Label. Two of the tracks were awarded Semi Finalist in the 2008 UK Songwriting competition and one as Runner Up in the VH1 competition. Steve’s success continued as he began working with a number of US record labels and placement firms for film and television.

In 2009 Steve received national airplay in the UK with his song

“Time to go” ( a soliders story ) which was selected by award winning singer / songwriter Les La Motte, Executive Producer for Heaven’s Eyes Records for their 2009 album titled “Healing and Remembrance” a compilation in support of the Vietnam Veterans in the US. The track also gained Semi Finalist position in the 2009 UK Songwriting competition.

Formed in 2008 by Steve Perry and Steve Mansfield, MonkeyNuts Music is now an established song writing and music production team creating top quality contemporary tracks for film and television at their studios based in Colchester UK.
The creative song writing team consisting of the musicians Steve Perry and Steve Mansfield have forged their own distinctive sound mixing contemporary guitar with 80’s synth sound arrangements.
Having released their initial album Dead Blue on 2010, presented as Finalists in the 2011 UK Song writing Competition, having national air play in the UK and minor success in the US with on a compilation album which culminated in a live performance at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood in aid of a worldwide charity and proposed charity film release, both Steve’s are now concentrating on their creative song writing and production abilities to produce top tracks for film and television and general song writing for use by more established artists.


Steve Perry and Steve Mansfield have now been writing and recording music together for over 5 years as MonkeyNuts Music. Both musicians and songwriters they have forged a great partnership and delivered some high quality tracks.

Steve Perry: Bass, Drums, Synth and Sound Engineering
Steve Perry is an established musician and Sound Engineer. As the previous owner of a successful commercial recording studio in Essex Steve has a renown reputation within the industry for his expertise in music production, mixing and final mastering. After the sale of his studios in March 2010 Steve decided to focus on writing and producing tracks for more established artists in a new high quality personal recording studio in Colchester UK.

Steve Mansfield, a session guitarist and songwriter initially used Steve Perry’s recording studios to produce some of his earlier tracks. After successfully writing an anthemic track for the Vietnam Veterans Day in the USA with StevePerry, Steve decided that the next stage in his writing career would be to team up with another like minded musician to write and produce commercial tracks for film and television. After a few recording sessions with Steve Perry, it was clear that there was the potential for the two to write some quality work together!

MonkeyNuts music was formed and between them the song writing partnership has now produced some high quality contemporary tracks with a distinct ‘ MonkeyNuts’ sound which has been used for various projects in the USA.

Press Releases and Awards

Charity Gala live performance at the Renassiance Hotel Hollywood for Valenksi Media.
Through Sonicbids, MonkeyNuts Music were introduced to Les Lamotte and a number of other US music and film producers. They were asked to write and produce anthemic track for the upcoming Vietnam Veterans Day in America. The track was a success and released on a US album together with receiving airplay in the UK.

MonkeyNuts Music were then asked by Valenski Media Group to write a track for an up and coming film regarding the plight of the Sudanese people. The track was a success and they were flown over to Hollywood to perform the track live at a charity event at the Renassiance Hotel.
