Popular Lismore Duo Chris Fisher and Marcelle Townsend–Cross create a special harmony & presence in Monkey & the Fish, sharing the roles of lead and backup vocals.
Marcelle is a graduate of Southern Cross University’s Contemporary Music degree and a captivating and engaging performer. Marcelle also plays percussion.
Chris Fisher has been a performer for 20 years, with many accolades and awards. Career highlights include 8 Dolphin Awards, 2 appearances as a Tamworth Star Maker Quest Grand Finalist, and performances at the Woodford and National Folk Festivals.
The band line up also now includes Luke Hedditch on Bass and Phurba Lama on Drums, delivering tight grooves and extra dynamics with both contributing songs to the repertoire. Great versions of tunes by Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Van Morrison, Goanna, Tracey Chapman, Green Day, Powder Finger, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, John Mayer, The Black Sorrows and more are performed.
A truly great example of top musicianship and home grown creativity. Influences are diverse with oz rock, reggae, folk and country vibes present.
