montahj is a trio that has only been working together for a short time, but has excelled because of their friendship and their chemistry. Each member of montahj is without question or debate a musician trained both classically and commercially in their field(s). This extensive knowledge of their instruments has allowed them to expand their creativity. Inspired by the writing of Tool, Radiohead, Tori Amos, and Ani DiFranco (to name a few) James, Danny, and Ashlie have joined together to create a unique sound that is enthralling to all who hear it. Their stage presence is captivating and their music is cultivating. With a vocalist whose voice is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, a guitarist whose classical influence lends to incredible melodies, and a guitarist whose writing style is unparalleled, montahj is undoubtedly a group you will desire to hear over and over again.
