Bio

Hailing from the heart of East Atlanta, 23 year old MONTANA DA MAC is the voice of the NOW generation. With his 2007 smash hit “Rock On (Do tha Rockman)” FT. DJ Unk, he received airplay on over 50 radio stations nationwide and catapulted to MTV’s “Jam of the Week” and BET’s “New Joint of the Day”. He became a visionary icon within the Rap music industry having sparked into the successful fusion of Rock and Rap genres that hadn’t been embraced with such affection since the legendary collaboration of Run DMC and Aerosmith on “Rock this Way”. In his own words:

“That period in my life was so surreal - I went from living in the studio creating song after song, to realizing I had a hit to being mobbed in the St. Louisville Mall. But I knew I had really made it when I seen Travis Barker tear up the drums on his remix”

The success of “Rock On (Do tha Rockman)” including his 34 city promotional tour, his many features and mix-tapes, immersed Tana (as known by fans) into the realms of Hip-Hop royalty and is now working with everyone from Gucci Mane, Travis Porter, Waka Flocka, Lil Jon, Lloyd, Yung Ralph, Bigga Rankins, Slim 112, Yung Joc, Bobby Valentino, Sammie, Alley Boy and Parlae from Franchise Boys…just to name a few.

“Tana, that’s my lil bruh…one of the coldest MCs in the A…besides me…”
-Gucci Mane

Today, Tana is back with the official Summer Smash produced by GL “Girls Gone Wild” FT. STUEY ROCK that has already flooded international streets, clubs, internet blogs and radio stations with its contagious hook and fun-loving vibe. While on a promotional tour, Tana maintains his creative focus by adding the finishing touches to his “6 mix-tapes in 6 days” mission in studios across the country.

Not intimidated by pursuing all that life has to offer, Tana has founded his independent label STR8 CA$H NO CHANGE MUZIK, to which he has signed an army of young producers from Atlanta to Chicago to Virginia. He’s further ambitions for the future however, surpass the music industry of which he has been a part of since writing his first rhyme at 13, currently pursuing his GED is just one part of the puzzle which he plans on completing. He is also determined to launch his international luxury chain of art galleries and architecture companies – because “…that’s where the real money is…”, as stated by Da Mac himself.

“I will always rap because that’s in my blood, it’s my first language. But there is more to Tana than “just” being a rapper. I want to leave my mark in every area possible, after conquering music my sights are on Hollywood, international art and the financial markets. On a personal level though, I’m going to give back to the communities I came from, let them know they big bruh got them.”
