Bio

Native to St. Louis, MO, but raised in Houston, TX, Montina Cooper has been embedded in the music industry as songwriter, producer, & vocal arranger for years. She is who the industry’s heavy hitters call when they need an artist to be developed & nurtured because she has mastered the art of being an entertainer.
Her credits are to numerous to mention, as she has performed with some of the industries most notable artist. It was Montina Cooper who arranged “The National Anthem” as sang by Destiny’s Child at the 2006 All Star Game at their last collective performance. Her vocal production was featured on the motion picture soundtrack “Hitch” as well as Kelly Rowland’s latest release “Ms. Kelly”. The Logo Network featured two songs “Lounge” and “Opposites” on their popular series “Noah’s Ark”. Her career spans a decade as she has tour nationally and internationally with such noted artist as Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland, Jamie Fox, 112, and the late-great Gerald LeVert, just to name a few. She headlines in clubs and venues drawing record crowds as her fan following continues to escalate and the demand for her unique brand of music continues to grow.
As impressive as her musical resume stands it is only the beginning. Montina is touring with the incomparable Beyonce Knowles as the lead background vocalist in the world renowned all female tour band Suga Mama. Montina is one of “The Mama’s”, three beautifully talented young ladies whom Knowles hand selected.
Montina loves to sing, perform, & write meaningful lyrics. She is looking forward to performing at a venue near you.
