Bio
The name Moody Crawford came about on the way home from a gig in the Temple area. We came to a crossroads--left would take us to Moody, right to Crawford. Our band name was born.
Before that moment, we played together under a few different names in several states and overseas, in multitudes of venues growing our fan base along the way. Because we have been around a while, people know who we are. Even hard-core fans who have moved out of our area still follow us on Myspace and Facebook to find the nearest gig. We can pack the house!
Our musical influences include Waylon Jennings, REK, Creed, George Strait, Ray Price, Gary Allan, Asleep at the Wheel, Pearl Jam, Oasis, and Conway Twitty.
We've had the normal hustle gigs, as any rising group does, and we've had those "defining moments" of opening for greats such as Kevin Fowler, Miranda Lambert, Ray Price, Don Williams, Kenney Chesney, and Neal McCoy. No matter how big the gig, our music is the same--Texas Music originals that captivate new audiences and keep our loyal fans begging for more!
