Bio
Alain Curvers has been working on his music for almost ten years and, during this time, has acquired vast amounts of experience both on and offstage. Starting out as a rapper in the Amsterdam hiphop trio De Rijmfabriek, he continued to focus on making beats and compositions, and playing bass in the hardcore metal group ThisWillKillYou; one could say Alain is somewhat of an old-timer.
This in combination with the experience Remko Spaaij has in making electronic beats (“electro, techno, minimal, acid house, hardstyle, hardcore, schranz, drum & bass, remixes”)
followed by his newly found passion for a more acoustic sound, warmed by his amazing, flexible voice, makes for an irresistible sound!
The two were matched by a mutual friend who said “just go and make some music together!” And it clicked, immediately. They no longer needed words to communicate, Alain and Remko are synchronised and fine-tuned. After four years of playing without an official drummer or reliable bass player the picture was complete when Tom Van Veenhuijzen (behind the drum kit) and Eric Frantzen (doing the bass thing) entered the picture. At last they now they can play without remorse, totally amplified and rock like they should. This formation lasted roughly two years, but recently - due to unforeseen circumstances, Tom left the band and Moonaddict is now happy to have found his replacement; Peter van der Laan.
The first song Alain and Remko composed together is called ‘Here and Now’, and this will be the single of their debut album which will hopefully be recorded and released in 2011
