It makes sense that this song is titled “Sleeper’s Quarrel,” and is the perfect song to get you to crash at night. A good amount of my favorite music is hard to assign as a specific genre, and this is a great example. Moon Bounce is a newcomer to HMC out of Philadelphia and I really dig their sound, check more of their music out here if you’d like. - holdmycoat.com
Beautifully apocalyptic and dense maximalist electronics. - Avant-Avant.net
“Hypersonic”, by Philadelphia’s Moon Bounce, aka Corey Regensburg, begins with thumping basslines and goblin-esque squelching - an impish serenade to a space time voyage. It is gorgeous yet bittersweet - a realization of devastation - a prediction come to life. Vocals sweep in, floating and swirling, and you’re truly captivated, captured by the undistinguished and foreign possibilities of what is before you. And then it stops…. a last breath of air, that last normality before the newly reborn you.
Bonus: ? Moon Bounce - Sleeper’s Quarrel - this track is quite different from “Hypersonic” and I implore you to take some time and listen. It is a night time persistence a-top percolating noises and drunken guitar chords. A lullaby for the stubborn.
