Biography

Moondogs, a five-piece jam band from Albuquerque, offers a blend of lively originals and multi-genre interpretive covers of artists from Al Green and Tom Petty to Alabama Shakes and Joss Stone. The band brings an unashamedly retro orientation and sound, freshly punctuated by lead singer Susan Bisong's soaring vocals and backed by a solid rhythm section by Stuart Butzier on acoustic guitar, funky back beats by Jon Myers on bass and Gabe Kachirisky on drums, and smooth guitar leads by GK Jackson. The Moondogs have performed in the Albuquerque/ Santa Fe area and other venues such as Spokane, Washington; Las Vegas, Nevada; Newport Beach, California and Banff, Alberta.

Takin' Our Sweet Time

Takin’ Our Sweet Time (© 2013)

Hey, now, don’t you think you oughta tell me
What it is that’s on your mind
You sure don’t have to sugar coat it
Unless of course you think I’m fine

Baby, haven’t I told you
I need you around
But I can hardly take it
Yeah, you, with your big-ass frown

I think that we’re just right for each other
And the sad truth is, we’re trying
I’m thinking we can work it out
We’re just takin’ our sweet time
Takin’ our sweet time

Don’t put up your false front darlin’
You might hurt yourself smilin’
It just can’t be that complicated
Unless of course you think I’m lyin’

Sure seems like I tell you that I love you
Nearly ev’ry single day
But that don’t see to stop you
From poutin’ anyway

I think that we’re just right for each other
And the sad truth is, we’re trying
I’m thinking we can work it out
We’re just takin’ our sweet time
Takin’ our sweet time

Mystified

Do you remember
When you told me
We’d never be apart
Do you recall
When love was
At the start

You told me everything
A man would ever want to hear
But now all I do is cry
Cause you left me by the side of the road
Outside in the dark and the cold
You left me here, mystified

It was late in November
All the leaves
Were fallen down
I came to your door
You were nowhere
To be found

I looked up and down
The whole wide world
And I fell down to the ground
Cause you left me by the side of the road
Outside in the dark and the cold
You left me here, mystified

You left me mystified
You left me mystified
You left me mystified
