Bio

Moore Huffman Grew up in Colorado in the small town of Woody Creek, just outside of Aspen CO. Moore Began playing guitar and writing music at the age of nine as an outlet for emotion. He attended a private school K through 8th grade where creativity was extremely encouraged, which Moore says was a major reason for his development as a songwriter. Many of Moore's close friends began to play music around the time that he did, which eventually evolved into a band. That same band (known then as "The FSU Crew") stuck together through high school and became a very serious endeavor for all it's members. "All we ever wanted to do was play music" says Moore. "I remember sneaking out of my house at night all the time as a kid to go practice with FSU. The other members of the band were much more musically talented than I was. I had a hard time keeping up with them. A couple of them were just born to be musicians. It was a very positive thing for me though, because it pushed me a lot harder than I would have ever pushed my self".
That same passion for music brought Huffman to The Evergreen State College (Olympia WA) to study audio recording. Over the course of a year, Huffman found his way into an apprenticeship at Foundry studios where me met bassist Mark Sassi, who was also an apprentice at Foundry Studios at the time. After playing together for a few months Huffman and Sassi formed Moore Huffman Band after bringing Andrew Seliber on to play drums.

Moore Huffman Band displays a wide range of music to it's listeners, but is able to preserve a consistent them of unique timing, soulful vocals, catchy lyrics, and positive feeling. A few of Moore Huffman's influences include Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Van Morrison, David Gray, and Amos Lee.
