"People, Get Ready"

• Local blues-folkies MOORE, WILD, AND LYNCH got a star visitor at their Wednesday night RiRa gig: JONATHAN EDWARDS sat in for a few songs, including "People Get Ready" by Curtis Mayfield, George Jones's "The Race is On," Bob Marley and the Wailers' reggae classic "Redemption Song," and his own hit "Shanty." He'll be back in late January at One Longfellow Square.

Bio

The Moore Wild Show was formed back in 1994 when the two guitarists from the classic rock/punk rock beach band THE KLAMZ decided to take their experience to the newly popular "unplugged" music scene. The rest is history...

Jay Moore, a veteran of punk and rock bands The Bowling Balls, The Serious Guys, and The Klamz, is the author of such tongue-in-cheek classics as Rich Boy Blues, Heinous, Biddeford Girl, and Popped for OUI.

Bruce Wild, guitarist, producer and composer hails from the groups The Northeast Band, MX, The Klamz, Baraka Oyuru, Mystic Vibes and Dreamosaic. Bringing blues slide guitar and banjolin to the table and pleasing crowds with originals like I Don't Care, and Pink Floyd Blues.

Carson Lynch is the latest addition to the ensemble. Hailing from the bands The Seed Cutters, Box o' Crackers, Los Federales and Dreamosaic, he brings a rootsy element with percussive rhythms, crisp harmony vocals and fabulous fiddlin'. We welcome his irie vibe.

Fans and club owners are guaranteed to see and hear a show full of original arrangements, tight three part vocal harmonies and a dash of good comedy.

Influences include -but are never limited- Aerosmith, The Who, Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Fools, The Sex Pistols, The Neighborhoods, Grateful Dead, Traffic, Jethro Tull, Rory Gallagher, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Dead Milkmen, David Lindley, Santana, Shane McGowan & The Pogues, Alice Cooper, Sublime, Wolfe Tones, Pink Floyd, The Ramones, Willie Nelson, George Thoroughgood, Eric Clapton, Little Feat, Robert Johnson, Reverend Horton Heat, John Gorka, Fairport Convention, Loudon Wainwright III, Makem & Clancy, Queen, The Allman Brothers, Jonathan Edwards.

Having performed at such venues as Boston's legendary The Rat, and Portland's State Theater, you can now enjoy Moore Wild & Lynch as part of the Maine music scene in Old Orchard Beach, Wells, Portland and the Lakes Region.
