Molding the modern notion of rock into an intelligent blend of artful and honest tunes, Brooklyn based Moosejaww crafts savvy, independent music that is both edgy and dreamy. Careening off the tracks with "Rollercoaster" from their debut release "Seduce and Paralyze", the band takes the listener on a remarkable ride. Cut to the relaxed lines of "It Takes Two To Know One", and they prove with poetic and memorable lyrics that they are also capable of deep emotion without cliché. The sound is cultured, confident and charismatic.
Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Seamus Blake sings with a mature sound grounded in a rich musical lineage. Kris Bauman sidelines on bass and vocals, along with Al Street on guitar/fx and Jochen Ruckert on drums. With their stylistic affinities and an impressive roster of credits in the jazz scene, Moosejaww is poised to be the next big thing.
"Seduce and Paralyze" was mixed at Sony studios by Joe Ferla and is available for download and pre-release ordering. It hits the streets Nov 7th 2008
