Bio

At a time when a lot of popular music is canned, sampled, and cold, Moot Davis plays music from the heart that connects the past with the future.

Discovered by Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning producer/guitarist Pete Anderson who is responsible for recordings by such artists as Dwight Yoakam, Roy Orbison, k.d.lang, Flaco Jimenez, Buck Owens and Lucinda Williams among others, Moot released his self-titled debut on Anderson's Little Dog Records in 2005.

Moot was voted "Honky-Tonk Artist of the Year" by True West magazine and one of his songs was featured in the hit movie "Crash", starring Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon and Ludacris. Recently 2 more songs from Moots debut have been selected for the soundtrack to Wes Cravens upcoming 2006 release, "The Hills Have Eyes".

Over the last year, Moot has garnered critical reviews for both his album and his dynamic live performances with his band The Cool Deal featuring Pete Anderson. In fact, Moot and Pete racked up nearly 200 dates in the U.S. and Canada in 2005.

Davis shows no signs of slowing down. He has begun work on his follow-up album while maintaining an international tour schedule that would give United Airlines a run for their money. Whether your tastes run toward country, blues, honky-tonk or even live jam band mania, Moot Davis offers an alternative to bland music-by-the-numbers. If you can listen to Moot Davisand not move your feet, check your pulse – you may be dead.
