Mora Lee Sound was formed in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in 2010. Isolated in the cold north, they were left on their own to develop and grow as they saw fit. Steady gigging with their continuous flow of original material over the past year has honed them into a solid act with a strong and loyal local following.
A minimalistic understated approach sets Mora Lee Sound apart from other bands. A variety of ideas, lyrically and instrumentally, from song to song keeps the listeners interest throughout. Subtle yet effective dynamics fit within the intertwining of musical styles. Alexandra and Joel, coming from completely different musical backgrounds, write and play together with interesting and sometimes unique results.
