"Moreality Brings Its Original Style To The Bothwell Arts Center"

The Bothwell Arts Center is hosting a summer concert series entitled “Hot Music for Hot Nights,” held in the Center’s West End theatre. Doors open at 7:30, and the shows begin at 8pm. The Bothwell Arts Center is located at 2466 8th Street in Livermore.

On Saturday, August 4th, local favorite Moreality will be showcasing their original material as well as performing a few unusual cover songs in their first acoustic concert performance in Livermore. The venue and style of playing gives Moreality’s songs a different flair and fell. The band members, Joe Davis on guitar and vocals, Jeff Davis on keyboards and vocals, Jeff Fish on guitar, Mike Fine on bass, and Bill Ziegler on drums and vocals, have been playing together for over 8 years.

Moreality’s originals have become as popular with their fan base as their covers.

The past few years have brought them even greater recognition, appearing live on 107.7 the Bone, opening for Pat Travers, Eddie Money, and Blue Oyster Cult, and an appearance at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. They also had one of their songs featured in Relix Magazine, a song called “Watch the Moon,” which they will perform at the concert.

Tickets for the show are $10 general, $8 for seniors, students, and LVPAC Charter Members, and seating is limited. Tickets can be reserved at the Bothwell Center box office at (925) 447-ARTS or via email at lryon@livermoreperformingarts.org.

"Local Band Performs at Lake Tahoe"

Local band Moreality will play at the Cabo Wabo Cantina located in Harvey’s Casino in South Lake Tahoe on Friday, February 17.

Harvey’s Casino is located at Highway 50 and Stateline Ave, on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. Their set at Cabo Wabo begins at 10:30pm. After logging in over 45 shows in 2005, including appearing at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in July, and opening for acts such as Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Hannon of Tesla, and Joe Lynn Turner of Deep Purple, Moreality is ready to hit the road.

The band will be performing classic rock covers from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, the Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, as well as their own originals. In addition to their Tahoe debut, Moreality has been selected
to appear on a compilation CD distributed nationally through RELIX music magazine. Their original song, “Watch the Moon,” will be on the April/May issue CD. The magazine focuses on new emerging artists and the jam band genre.

"Local Band Set to Perform; Release New CD at Paul Bunyan Festival"

Moreality, a local rock band, is emerging as one of the Bay Area’s premier acts. The group’s new CD “Open” features eight blue-based rock tunes, that offer many moods and dynamics. The album artwork was done by Randy Tuten, known for his work with The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Grateful Dead, and Santana.

The first release of the CD will be available at the Paul Bunyan Festival held Juky 5th in Westwood, near Lake Almanor, east of Redding.

Moreality is scheduled to appear from 3 to 5 p.m. that day. The band will perform songs from the CD, along with covers from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, The Black Crowes, and others. Local radio station FM 93.3 “Cabin 99”, out of Susanville, is airing tracks from the CD along with CD giveaways leading up to the show.

The band has had an avid following based out of the UK Café, here in Livermore. Their shared sponsorship of the jam held there has drawn musicians from all over the bay area.

Moreality members are Jeff Davis – vocals, keyboards; Joe Davis – vocals guitar; Jeff Fish guitar, vocals; Michael Fine – bass guitar; and Bill Ziegler – drums, vocals.

Davis and Fish are the songwriters for the band.

“The chemistry in this band is strong, and the crowd definitely picks up on it,” says Fish of the growing success.

Bio

San Francisco Bay Area based, we are Moreality. We thrive on creating a vibe and connecting with our audience. Combining a melodic approach to songwriting with old-school psychedelic and concert rock vibes, Moreality weaves time signature changes, tight instrumental interplay, and multiple vocal harmonies into songs with a familiar and dynamic flair. We have songs that range from blues and southern rock to progressive concert rock; all complimenting a diverse and entertaining listening experience.

Our show melds well into concert settings, and we have played national openers with Blue Oyster Cult, Eddie Money, The Pat Travers Band, The Tubes, Michael Schenker Group, Joe Lynn Turner and more. We’re known for working well with stage crew and promoters, but most for our impression on the audience and our fellow musicians. Including the events listed below, we have played over 230 shows.

Jeff Fish and Joe Davis share the roles of songwriters and guitar players for the band. While our styles commingle well, it is the contrast that gives the music depth and each our space to perform. Joe also adds a distinctive projected vocal style to many of Moreality’s tunes.

On keys, and as another of Moreality’s vocalists, Jeff Davis adds another dynamic to the vocal landscape. Having sang with his brother for over 25 years, the blend is unmistakable, but he also has a soaring rage to round out the band’s sound.

Bill Ziegler captures the feel and attitude of great drummer’s of the era, and is intuitive to the writing styles of the band. Last, enter bassist (Jerry Williams) who has kept in touch with the band for years, and seems destined to complete a kick-ass rhythm section. Now you have Moreality.

We have over 20 original songs we have worked on as a band, with many more to work through. We are seeking the right influence to produce our sound, and help us realize our full potential.
