"Moreburn new CD "Believe" is nothing less than genius"

Moreburn's new single " You Never Said Goodbye" is a song of reflection and self doubt about those who have passed on

In 2007, Joe (a.k.a. JTY: leader/guitar, key/background vocals) met Yoshi (former bassist) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Yoshi was a sushi chef and Joe was a customer at his restaurant. It was a sight for Joe to see the sushi chef wearing ear piercings and necklaces. Joe has the suspicion that Yoshi was an experienced rock musician. He immediately asked Yoshi to join his band. Joe created original rock songs and Yoshi played bass guitar for Joe. Together they wanted to inspire people with their music. Moreburn was ultimately formed by Joe and Yoshi in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008. They moved to Chicago in July 2009 and immediately began auditioning for a singer and drummer with great talent and personality.

One of their favorite stops was an eatery in downtown Chicago where they often dreamt tall dreams of a future as a successful rock band. At this restaurant, Joe noticed a server who had a noticeably loud voice and was very nice to his customers. He looked the part as Joe thought he might already be part of another band. Joe asked Michael to audition for his band. After some auditions, Michael (Vox) joined the band in October 2009. At that time, Jose (Drums) was playing with a local alternative rock band. But he was also looking for a new way to create music full of passion and emotions. Jose joined Moreburn in November 2009. Unfortunately, Yoshi decided to return to Cincinnati in late December 2009. However, Joe, Michael and Jose have been working hard creating and recording their music as well as playing shows in the Chicago area.

In August, 2010, Moreburn releases a 7 song EP titled, “Believe”. Its lead single, “You Never Said Goodbye” has an incredible introduction which sets the stage for a sorrowful story about a man and his girlfriend who were in love but she passes away suddenly without even saying goodbye to him. He begins yearning to find a way to see her again to affirm his true love for her. This song was written in memory of a cat named “Louis” which Joe met on the street in Detroit while he was in school. The friendship they built together and the eventual passing of this cat created a mark on his heart that couldn’t be erased. As is the song “You Never Said Goodbye”, the ending is as it was in the beginning – powerful and glorious.

“Believe” carries powerful messages of how belief creates reality. Every song has a story line about love, reminding you the importance of being able to love life. Other common denominators that are constant in all their songs, range from perfect harmonies to the guitar’s introduction and solo performances. The bass and drum patterns enhance the dynamics of these songs. Moreburn’s music is influenced by so many types of music; from classical to R & B to international flavors and modern rock. Most importantly, it’s not the style that matters, it’s the message they are trying to bring across. They are creative with their arrangements and unafraid to write ‘outside the box’ to create maximum impact.
“Believe” has been released digitally and will be released in its physical format shortly. Moreburn will tour Chicago in August, then to St. Louis, Cincinnati, Detroit and onward in September. - PRLog
