Bio

Morgan is an NYC based singer/songwriter. His current projects include two musicals, an Americana band Satin Nickel, underscoring for films and dance pieces, as well as his own solo work. From a musical theater background, his work became highly story-based, exploring different characters and themes that take the listener on a specific journey, and he found his most natural storytelling voice in folk music. "Eileen" explores his grief for his grandmother who he never had a chance to know, and now only sees her in his memory. "Better With You" encompasses the anxiety and depression we feel when we can't see the fruit of our hard labor, and so we desperately reach out to someone for support.

Morgan released his first solo EP on Bandcamp in winter of 2018, which helped him navigate his grief after experiencing an abusive relationship. Soon after, his band Satin Nickel released their first EP on all major streaming services.  They are currently developing a full-length album to be released this fall.

In 2017, his musical "The House of Edgar Allan Poe" premiered at the New York Musical Festival as part of their Developmental Reading Series.  This fall, "Poe" will receive a full production at Weber State University.  His first musical, Margot's Blessing, was a 15-minute musical written with librettist Lori Ada Jaroslow and produced by New Musicals Initiative in June 2015. He and Lori are currently expanding Margot's Blessing to a full length musical, exploring the current opioid crisis and how addiction affects one's community. For this project, Morgan is implementing the sonic soundscapes of ambient guitar to capture the main character's drugged and helpless state of mind.
