Multi-Award winning singer-songwriter Morgan Evans is one the most addictively engaging acts to emerge from the hot bed of Australian music in the last decade. Morgan is a “can do” performer with strong songs, an unforgettable stage show and now the recognition and well-deserved accolades he deserves.
So, just how good is Morgan? In the hotly contested 2006 “Musicoz Awards”, that recognise Australia’s premier (unsigned) musical talent, Morgan’s 3-Pce rock band SOLVER was named “Artist of the Year” ahead of 6,000 other acts!
“I am not going to sit around waiting to be “discovered” he said.
As if to prove a point and make a statement about his commitment to his craft, just 2 months later Morgan won Australia’s largest country music competition, the 2007 “Telstra Road To Tamworth”, defeating over 1000 other hopefuls along the way.
Morgan has self-managed his rock band and his solo pursuits for the past 8 years and in 2006 completed a University Degree in Communication. He is now committed himself to extensive international touring. Morgan has also won the support of the Australian Government’s export facilitation agency ‘Austrade’, who has recognised the international appeal and export potential of Morgan’s music.
Morgan is a media savvy, photogenic and knows how to deliver value to brands that he chooses to associate with. Morgan has already been signed as the face for Telstra’s print media campaign scheduled for the second half of 2007. (Telstra is Australia’s largest telecommunications company).
Morgan will make his debut tour to North America in June 2007 to record his first single for Australian release through SonyBMG Australia later this year. Morgan has secured co-writing sessions with industry majors through great support from SonyBMG Australia and their leading publishers in Los Angeles. He will perform solo showcases at several industry events including the CMA Festival in Nashville.
After already touring extensively with his rock band Morgan will begin his first solo-tour of Australia when his first single hits the airwaves in August.
