After a hiatus of five years reggae group Morgan Heritage returns to the road this summer with a four-week tour of Europe. The five original group members (Peter, Gramps, Una, Mojo and Lukes Morgan) will perform songs from their upcoming four song digital EP “The Return” which is released in Europe on August 13th.
“The Return is not just about Morgan Heritage being back on the road” says guitarist Lukes Morgan “it’s about the music returning to the roots reggae sound”. The single “The Return” is produced by Shane Brown of Jukeboxx Productions whose Busy Signal album “REGGAE Music Again” is evidence of a more organic reggae sound coming back into favor among the Jamaican music community.
Keyboard/Vocalist Una Morgan commented, “our tour coincides with Jamaica’s 50th Anniversary of Independence and is timed nicely to present this idea of returning to our musical and cultural roots”. The new full length Morgan Heritage album is scheduled for first quarter 2013 through Jamaica, New York based VP Records and Morgan Heritage owned label Gedion Music.
