Bio

Another starlet emerges from Disney’s talented ranks: MorganTerrelle. Like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake beforeher, the former Disney Channel actress is stepping into the music scene. The Los Angeles native and self-proclaimed “nerd without a cause”rocks out like the major pop stars of her generation.

Morgan started modeling and acting at the age of four. Her time on camera has allowed her to work with megastars including John Travolta, George Clooney, Duane “The Rock” Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Shaquille O’Neal, WayneGretzky, and many others. She’s appeared in countless print ads for Target, T-Mobile, Mattel, and Barbie. But music has always been her primary passion. “I remember singing ‘I Will Survive’ at auditions when I was like six. I could really feel Gloria Gaynor’s strength even though I had no clue what she was talking about,” remembers Morgan.

At 17, Morgan left Los Angeles behind and moved to New York Cityto begin her studies at Columbia University. “It was a tough decision, but Idecided to put acting and singing on hold to pursue an education.” Music kept tugging at her heartstrings. “My mom wouldn’t let me drop out to be a performer so I told her I was just going to graduate early. I guess graduating was my way of rebelling,” she laughs.

Post graduation, Morgan relocated to London, where she became obsessed with European culture. She found inspiration in British bandslike The Clash and The Sex Pistols, as well as current artists like Eliza Doolittle and Adele. Morgan merges the punk spirit with her own passion for R&B. “To me, music is a lot like acting. It’s all about expressing the emotions that people keep bottled up,” she comments. One thing is certain, with powerhouse vocals and a fresh vibe, Morgan’s sound can’t be contained.
