"Morgan – Cake – IS HipHop Dopeness! @MORGANtheCEO"

Washington DC based emcee Morgan dropped some HipHop dopeness to the masses with her single Cake!! This banger dropped in June of last year and thanks to my peoples over at Rule4080.com I got to hear this joint when I was browsing their site. “Cake” is off Morgan’s EP Reminiscent. I’m not sure who produced the beat but it’s fire!! When it comes to real HipHop, you can’t beat a dope Jazz sample 4sho!! Morgan rides the track really dope, I like her flows on this joint, the song gets better every time I listen to it. This is HipHop!!! - Sugar Cayne

Decades after the revolution that is Hip Hop, rappers are struggling to stay true to the roots, while also trying to succeed in the game. Morgan seems like she could care less about what the mainstream wants her to be. She raps about what's true to her, in a style purely hip hop. No gimmicks, no jazz hands, no concocted persona. In the current state of hip hop, Nicki Minaj reigns queen; with a pink Barbie crown. There is nothing wrong with theatrics and adapting a stage persona, see David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, but sometimes people just want realness.

Morgan prides herself in bringing that realness in her music despite whether it's popular or not. On her new mixtape, B.S.N.W.H (Bullsh*t Nobody Wants to Hear), she discusses real issues while maintaining an entertaining flow. And like any true rapper, there is some arrogance, general braggadocio, and smack talk. But she displays an intelligence and ease in her style that sounds utterly natural.

"[New Artist] Morgan – Another Day (Official Video)"

Out of the Washington, D.C. area we have a new female MC doing big things. Morgan is definitely a nice up and coming talent. Morgan is all about the lyricism in her music first and then the relevance of being catchy second. Besides rapping she is known to dabble in producing and playing the drums and saxophone. She has recently dropped the visuals to “Another Day” which is off her mixtape B.S.N.W.H (BullSh!t Nobody Wanna Hear). Make sure to download her mixtape and follow her on Twitter: @MORGANtheCEO

"MusicXclusives.com does a review on Morgan’s latest single/video “Another Day”"

Get into Morgan!

A breath of fresh air in today’s market that is currently oversaturated with generic fluff a la [insert mainstream artist here], Morgan comes bearing an intellectually stimulating message and a wicked flow reminiscent of Andre 3000 to match. The indie hip hop artist who hails from Washington D.C. recently released a video for her outspoken single, “Another Day.” The Cool Kids Forever Films-directed clip which has been picking up steam across the net since its debut last week daringly depicts Morgan as a homeless person rapping about her struggle as an artist trying to make it big. On the second verse she cautions her less-focused peers to keep their priorities in check and avoid falling prey to common distractions like peer pressure and negative relationships. “Human nature ruin the mind of those who aint doing shit, you steady trying to save face, worrying ’bout what your friends think, letting your friends influence you, what happened to your instincts?” she spits brazenly. As if this avante grade femcee is not impressive enough, her already jam-packed resume also boasts saxophonist, videographer and brainchild behind Creative Introverts, a collective of talented musical and visual artists. - Chad Samir

Bio

MORGAN is a calculated, magnetic phenom of an emcee, trailblazing in the footsteps of Hip Hop’s revered greats. She is nothing short of avant-garde, challenging the status quo and pushing forth in an industry that considers her second to her male counterparts. Hailing from Washington, D.C., currently based in Atlanta, MORGAN began her career in music at a young age playing violin and drums in the school band for 6 years before she began producing at the age of 17, and delving into hip hop at 20. Now, with 5 mixtapes under her belt, and an EP to be released this winter of 2017, Morgan is now more ready than ever for the world to hear what she has to say.
