Morghyn

My name is Morghyn, I'm 17 years young, born and raised in the beautiful maritimes. I've been singing since I was able to form words. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs anymore. I changed around my life for the better with deciding to focus 100% on my music. I mostly do a lot of covers, but recently I've been working on multiple original songs.
Some of my influences that have made an impact on my life over the years have been my sisters, Kerri, and Ashley. They've been there to hold me up since literally, day one. They never let me down, or try to hold me back, they let me make mistakes to learn important life lessons with a little guidance along the way. My father, the man who created me has never wanted me to experience life quite like this, he's distant and disrespectful, he pushes me away and puts me down in hopes that one day I will prove him wrong by being on stage in front of the biggest crowed I could imagine, I want to make him proud one day. My best friend since we were four years old, Megan. She pushes me to excel in everything I do, she gives me hell if I mess up, and tells me to try again. Musically, I'm driven by Marianas Trench, because the lead singer, Josh, has been through so much, and still continues to come out on top with a kick ass attitude. What sets me apart from some or most artists is, I don't have a band, I have my voice and my piano/guitar. I don't play or sing as a past time, or a hobby. I do it as a passion, as something that has changed my life for the better and I never want to turn back. I do it because it makes me happy, and maybe if people could hear me, it would make them happy to. I'm not like most artists because they are so modest sometimes, saying they never dreamed of being famous, or they never thought of achieving so much in their life. I do dream of being on top one day, not because of the fame and fortune, but because I want the world to listen, to hear what I have to say, to see the world the way I do, the beauty for what it is. I know it won't be easy, I don't expect to be. I don't need easy, I just need possible, I know I can do it. Yes, I come from a lower class family, no I don't expect a story about going from "rags to riches" if I do make it, I expect a story about hope, dreams, possibilities and how they do come true with great effort. Music is my life, it's how I express myself, and my feelings. Without it, I wouldn't be here today. Music is my religion, it's my god, I believe in it, and it believes in me and everyone else. Stay positive, and stay true, it'll take you farther than the eye can see.
