Morlee

MORLEE brings to the stage a fresh, lively sound and style that takes driving bass riffs and drum beats, mixed with unique guitar overtones and a mixture of sounds and instruments that keep the audience eager for the next tune. They lay that sound behind a mixture of vocals and harmonies - singing lyrics that engage the ear as well as the heart.

The band is anchored by three siblings who have a tight relationship and have enjoyed playing a wide range of instruments and singing together all of their lives. Bring in Danny (whom they call their adopted Costa Rica brother) on the drums and you have the makings of MORLEE—a progressive Rock/Alternative band, based in the Little Rock, AR area.

They share a unique and diverse appreciation of music which has influenced their writing and creativity and reflects itself in their music as well as their live show.

After about 4 years of writing and performing throughout the region, these siblings have spent the last year re-branding themselves and shaping their unique sound. While writing and rehearsing feverishly over that time period, they have landed on a sound and style that is more a reflection of who they are naturally. Never being content, but always growing, they will continue to shape their sound and lyrical style to reflect their growth and meet the demands of an ever-changing musical audience.

With the new name and sound in place, MORLEE partnered with Jason Truby in the fall of 2011 to produce two new demo songs. They have just released “Off The Ground” and “Cover Me” as singles on iTunes, Zune and Amazon for national release. They continue to creatively write, do their live shows and refine their skills, vocal harmonies and the direction of their overall sound. With things coming together, plans are being made with a producer friend in Nashville to head back into the studio this summer to finish an EP for release in the fall of 2012, and then work on a full CD project for release in 2013.

They desire to finish a show with their audience singing a tune in their head for days, while being challenged with the thoughtful lyrics to carry them through life.
