Bio

MORNING AFTER is a group of five guys from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada who have been playing music together in various forms for the past five years. During their tenures in various bands they have played with an assortment of Canadian talent including: the Philosopher Kings; The Headstones; Sandbox; Wave; and The Rainbow Buttmonkeys.

Musically, MORNING AFTER blends their classic rock influences with pop sensibilities in an effort to produce great pop songs with an attitude. MORNING AFTER’s latest material has been described as a blend of acts such as the Police and matchbox twenty.

Driven by a passion for making music and a passion to succeed, MORNING AFTER has been steadily honing their songwriting skills and their live performance for the past three years. While known for putting on a powerful live show, the guys from the band have been working overtime in the studio for the past five months on what will be their full-length debut CD entitled “Stand Alone”. The anticipated release for this initial MORNING AFTER project is January 2005. Additionally, the guys have been busy recording a music video for "Misunderstanding" which can be viewed on their website at www.thebandmorningafter.com.

“We really wanted to create a record that stood apart from anything we had done in the past,” says guitarist Jerry McCabe. “Not only is the record named for the title track, but it is also representative of our desire to create a cohesive and independent voice.”

The band consists of Jeff Thomas on lead vocals and guitar; Jerry McCabe on lead guitars and background vocals; Mark Mosher on rhythm guitar and background vocals; Joe McCabe on Drums; and Randy Burns on bass guitar. In addition to playing at various bars around Southern Ontario, Jeff, Jerry, and Mark have been playing steady Thursday night gigs at the Underground Garage in Toronto. At “The Underground”, the guys have developed a substantial following working in acoustic versions of MORNING AFTER’s own songs with their set of alternative tunes which range from The Who to the Cure to Radiohead to Hawksley Workman. If the buzz on the street in downtown Toronto is true, we should all expect to see big things from MORNING AFTER this fall.
