Enigmatic pop songwriting with emotive melodies and cinematic lyrics.

Biography

Morris Brothers, the songwriting duo of twin brothers Robert and Steven Morris, once again seduce the listener into their enigmatic world of pop songwriting with the exciting new release ONE LESS DREAM.

Produced by Paul Boutin and recorded at Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds studio in Los Angeles, ONE LESS DREAM blends artful groove and harmony with emotive melodies and cinematic lyrics that are at once probing yet unconventional.

ONE LESS DREAM is a sonically superb recording with first-rate production and playing as well. Morris Brothers (who handle the vocal, guitar, bass and keyboard duties) elisted legendary drummer Ricky Lawson (Michael Jackson/Clapton/Steely Dan) who sizzles throughout the 11 distinct tracks. Lawson calls the brothers "a force to be reckoned with, some of the best composers I've worked with since Steely Dan."

In addition to pop music, the brothers recently made their theatrical debut as composers/lyricists with the new musical Once Around The Sun. When reviewing the show for Time Warner's NY1, chief theater critic Roma Torre commented "each song is a gem propelling the story and deepening the characters...how thrilling to discover that the music in the show is so joyously liberating" and the Morris Brothers "have an album coming out...they are names to be remembered."

And the album is sure to make a mark. Upon hearing ONE LESS DREAM, New York's elite Guitarist/Producer David Spinozza (James Taylor/Paul Simon/Billy Joel) called it "a lesson in smart pop songwriting"-the record illustrates Morris Brothers "soulfulness, craft and sophistication."

LOOKING FOR A FRIEND

Written By: R. Morris/S. Morris

You think I’d know better than fall for you
You've always been my weakness
You think I’d know how to express myself
Instead of keeping secrets

How many times
Have I been there by your side
When another lover breaks your heart, and baby

Now you're looking for a friend
You run to me again
You know that I'll be true, baby
Now you're looking for a friend
So I come to your defense
Do you know that I'm in love
With you

You come around here and you cry your tears
And talk about your sorrows
But all I wanna do is hold you tight
And dream about tomorrow

So much to say
But I'm scared you'll run away
I'm just grateful that you're still around
'Cause baby

Now you're looking for a friend
You run to me again
You know that I’ll be true, baby
Now you're looking for a friend
So I come to your defense
Do you know that I'm in love
With you

I should let my feelings show
Before I let you go
I shouldn't let another chance go by
But I don't know what to say
Gonna leave it for another day
And hope that you'll be right here by my side
Baby

Now you're looking for a friend
You run to me again
You know that I'll be true, baby
Now you're looking for a friend
So I come to your defense
Do you know that I'm in love
With you

DO YOU THINK ABOUT ME

Written By: R. Morris/S. Morris

I know we've both moved on
Our love was crazy
The years have come and gone
Those days amaze me

And there are times that I just smile and remember
And I wonder if at times you do the same

Do you think about me
Ever think about me
About the love we used to share and crazy things we'd do
Do you think about me
Baby think about me
Do you ever think about me
Like I think about you
Do you think about me

Remember how we'd fight
With all our power
We'd break down and we'd cry
Make love for hours

And there are times when I can swear I feel you near me
And I wonder if at times you feel the same

Do you think about me
Ever think about me
About the love we used to share and crazy things we'd do
Do you think about me
Baby think about me
Do you ever think about me
Like I think about you
Do you think about

Some love was made to last
Not yours and mine, no
Our love was like a shooting star
Burning out across the sky

Do you think about me
Ever think about me
About the love we used to share and crazy things we'd do
Do you think about me
Baby think about me
Do you ever think about me
Like I think about

Do you think about me
Ever think about me
About the love we used to share and crazy things we'd do
Do you think about me
Baby think about me
Do you ever think about me, cause I think about you...

Do you think about me
Ever think about me
Do you think about me
Baby think about me

YOU'RE KILLING ME

Written By: R. Morris/S. Morris

YOU'RE KILLING ME

When you’re around I like to pretend
Let my fantasies roam and get the Best of me
We’re all alone on an island Somewhere
With my Dubonnet Fizz and kisses On the cheek

But I’m not that lucky
And you’re so cruel

It’s not fair
No, the way you’re killing me
It’s not fair
Oh, the way you smile
You don’t care
Yeah, ‘cause you don’t know from Me
Baby I won’t survive
I’m barely alive
You’re killing me
Yeah you’re killing me

I’d love a moment with you
So I could open my heart and tell You everything
But I’m too shy and I’d probably cry
So I’ll sit back down and have Another drink

I must be crazy
I’m such a fool

HOOK

Dreaming of you used to be fun
Filled my imagination
Now you’re the one who’s in control
And it just drives me crazy
It feels so real
