Bio

As the Hip-Hop is dead controversy continues one rapper stands above it all. Ganksta C who recently changed his name to Mortal Premier has shaken up the game since 1995. In the mid 1990's Premier landed a contract on the now infamous Profile Records. Profile was also the home of legends like RUN DMC, DJ Quik, Rob Base & Dj E-Z Rock, Poor Righteous Teachers, Special Ed & Dana Dane.

Eddie P. Cary formerly known as "Ganksta C" (now known as Mortal Premier) began rhyming in 1987 & producing tracks for local artist in Dallas, TX. Ganksta C is the brother of Texas Hip-Hop legend Ron C. In 1993 he released the an EP on Mack Time Records titled "Str8 Hustla". Soon after the release of his debut EP he was signed to Profile Records in 1994. In 1995 Ganksta C released his first full length album titled "Stepchild". Profile Records later refused to pay or promote him and he was released from a faulty record deal with Profile. Ganksta C was also sentenced to a lengthy prison term. After his release from Prison Ganksta C became Mortal Premier. He now is living in Richmond, Ca hustling, grinding, recording, promoting & redeveloping his style.

Mortal Premier now has a cult like following throughout Europe, Australia & America who have been awaiting his return to the game. The EP "Mor to the Game" was recently released on iTunes. Mortal Premier has also recently performed with Rappin' 4Tay and K. Real. He has also done interviews with The Bay View Newspaper & eeMediaTV.

***Profile Records was the home of legends like RUN DMC, DJ Quik, Rob Base & Dj E-Z Rock, Poor Righteous Teachers, Special Ed & Dana Dane. In the late 1990s Profile Records was bought out my Sony BMG.
