New to the music world comes a brand new group called Mose Wanted. Named after lead vocalist and trumpeter Chris Morgan, whose poetic stage persona, apparently, is of the name, this young mesh of talent is out to make a name of their own. With an array of musical genres at their arsenal and coupled with a quite hefty instrumentation, critics are saying that Mose Wanted is the definite up & coming musical experience. Also lead by two beautiful vocalist that do anything but merely back up, the group has a rhythm section with an authentic-percussive sound mixed with electronic and synth to cover a range of styles from contemporary funk & jazz to fusion, and even new age latin, hip-hop and R&B. Mose Wanted came together in late 2007. The group has performed for many functions and showcases throughout the Chicagoland area. Most notably a free children's show at Olive Harvey Community College, the All-Star celebrity golf tournament, and cafe Harmony comedy showcase. The musical influences are endless. The multi-genre performing group attributes its sound to such artists as Mint Condition, Stevie Wonder, John McLaughlin, Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, Freddie Hubbard, Switch, EWF, Marcus Miller, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Jill Scott, Dizzie Gillespie, Erykah Badu, and many others... What sets Mose Wanted apart from the rest is the actual musical approach. With such a diverse background of the group itself and the individual musical influences it is easy to get lost in the gumbo. The group was assembled by trumpeter Chris Morgan who had a primary vision of communicating the concepts of cultural understanding, unity and respect of heritage through music. Mose Wanted can boast to be a group whereas culturally diverse but spiritually in sync and plans to demonstrate to the world the real power of music and its enlightenment.
