Bio
Moshe is one of the hottest young comics in what has been called a new wave of bay area comedy. He is original, brash and smart combining energetic performance with viciously funny writing. A true triple threat, he is a trained and experienced actor, a published writer and of course a Stand up comic. As a native of Oakland, California he has a decidedly urban observation on the world around him. This led him to perform at Jamie Foxxs International Urban comedy festival Laffapalooza. While the urban perspective is a definitive factor of his comedy, it never gets in the way of smart, sophisticated material. His comedy lives somewhere on the edge of the streets and the cerebral. In 2005 he started a sketch troupe called Boomtime whos abstract and sometimes even scary sketch comedy shows became the stuff of legends and gained the group fans from far outside of the normal comedy scene. Boomtime was then asked to headline the San Francisco Sketch festival. That marked two major comedy festivals in two years. He has been asked back to the festival every year since. Moshe produces the biggest and most popular alternative comedy show in the San Francisco area, Smug Shift which has taken comedy out of the club and dropped it into chinsy dive bars and offbeat art galleries and has garnered a huge following. He recently finished writing and starring in a home grown San Francisco pilot San Francisco Values with Adroit Films, a local production house. He was named Best of the Bay by the East bay express, who also said he is everything you would want in a comedian. In addition, Los Angeles Saturday Night Magazine has recently called him a Name to watch. Most recently he was named a "face to watch" by NBC. He has also worked with the best in the business including Dave Chappelle, Colin Quinn, Greg Behrendt, Tommy Davidson, David Allen Grier, Patton Oswalt, Dave Foley of Kids in the Hall and many more. In addition to comedy, Moshe is a published playwright and has had his monologues performed at festivals around the country.
