Moss Henry

A beautiful, powerful, sometimes dangerous mixture of folk, rock and country--may offend the right-wing.

Although my CD, "Autumn Rain" is produced in a variety of styles, I play solo and acoustically. I am somewhat like Bruce Cockburn, Jackson Browne, John Prine and Richard Thompson. Early influences include Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Judy Collins and other folk singers in the 60's, then rock groups like the Doors, Stones and Eagles.
My lyrics are poetry and have the crunch of reality when you bite down on them. The melodies are beautiful and some songs are rhythmically unusual, including occasional time-changes.

"Autumn Rain" is my first CD. One of my songs, "Wheel of Chance", is now playing on KRSH in Santa Rosa, CA. KRCB, played five of my songs and interviewed me on Saturday, December 7.
My song, "Rich Man's World", has been played on Amy Goodman's show, Democracy Now, out of New York, and Dennis Bernstein's show, Flashpoints, out of Berkeley, CA on KPFA. I expect other Pacifica affiliates will also play my songs.

Set List

I usually play between eight and ten songs per set and utilize humor between songs to engage the audience. A set lasts about 45 minutes. I play songs from the CD as well as many other songs I have written. I do some covers: "The Rose", "Country Roads", "Paradise", "Peaceful, Easy Feeling", "The Boxer".
