BandChristianRock

We're a rock band from Cincinnati, OH existing to carry the hope of Christ.

Biography

Formed in mid-2008 by writer-lead singer Justin Mosteller, the band quickly gained recognition in 3 short years sharing the stage with Christian music greats such as: Hawk Nelson, Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli and Switchfoot. In late 2011 Mosteller went into the studio with renowned producer Jason Hoard (Third Day, Shane & Shane), to record their first independent album, "This Is Life." In February 2012 the album released. The heartfelt lyrics, coupled with new age rock, and outstanding vocals, started making waves in Christian music immediately! The band is currently touring all over the southeast while making continuous trips to Nashville to write for their upcoming album.

Lyrics

Glorious Day

Written By: Mosteller

Verse:
What a dark day was it, what good would come of it
The world was dark as night, when hope was born to life
What a dark day was it, what good would come of it
The sky turned dark as night, when love was crucified

Chorus:
It was a glorious day, a day I’ll never forget
When true love showed its face, paid the cost of my debt
It was a glorious day

Verse:
What a dark day was it, what good would come of it

This Is Life

Written By: Mosteller

Verse:
We go a thousand miles an hour, we don’t look back
We go a thousand miles an hour and never stop to look around

Chorus:
This is life, this is love, this is breath, I feel in my lungs
I’ve never felt this way about life, Til’ I saw your love with my eyes

Verse:
There has to be much more to life, than just these hands spinnin’ round
If our time is spent inside the lines, we’ll be alone standing round

Bridge:
I wanna live, I wanna breathe, like it’s my last before I leave
I wanna sing, I wanna dance, with your symphony

Verse:
But if there’s no pain in the offering, then how can I say I’ve lived
When sacrifice is just daily life, joy and peace will be mine

Alright

Written By: Mosteller

Verse1:
We get knocked down, we get back up
We take the brunt, we toughen up
Cause we know who holds forever, we know this is not the end
We take on fire, we walk the line
With our eyes up we’ll be alright
Cause we know who holds forever, we know this is not the end

Chorus:
You can take these bodies break them down and you can shake the world all around us
Cause we know who holds forever, we know eternity

Verse 2:
They’re bodies beaten broken down, with your spirit they didn’t back down
Because of them we know the truth, this is not the end

Like Jesus

Written By: Mosteller

Verse 1:
Who’ll spend for you and for you be spent
Who’ll send for truth and for truth be sent
Who’ll reach out and a hand be lent … here I am

Chorus:
Like Jesus teach me to humble all I am
Like Jesus teach me to give and give again
Like Jesus teach me to die and truly live

Verse 2:
The harvest is ready but the workers are few
Raise up your church empower us in truth
Led by your spirit lord we’re running to you … here we are

Bridge:
We are not our own, we are not alone
We are not our own, we belong to you

Rest

Written By: Mosteller

Verse:
O Father hold me, spirit console me
That I may feel you in this place I am
Cause I’m feeling so lonely, but yours is the only
Love that makes me whole, Can my heart find rest

Chorus:
Spirit you come down pursuing your home once again
Father you come down pursuing to bring back my innocence
And like a child I reach for you and always you to welcome me back in
Here I find rest, here I find rest

Verse:
O Father hold me, spirit console me
That I may hear you in this place I am
Tell me the story of how I am glory
How you choose to mold me in this place I am
