Motel Ink is a six piece, Pretoria-based rock band that have been playing together for about 4 1&2 years. They write & compose all their own music. Their first video, Gek, premiered on MK in August 2009, and they have just finished recording their second single, Sci Fi Thriller Baby.
Motel Ink recently stepped out as the winners of the 2009 KFC Sessions, finishing the competition with a performance in Hatfield Square alongside Straatligkinders and Fokofpolisiekar. Furthermore, they were also crowned the victors in the 2009 Oakfields Battle of the Bands. They have also played at big festivals including Innibos and Aardklop.
Motel Ink is well-known for their energetic and entertaining live shows. They are all very passionate musicians, and would love to become one of the most famous bands seen in history. They are a unique combination of band member and are therefore influenced by different genre's in the music industry. Including Pearl Jam, Nickelback, Black Sabbath with a hint of electro rock that brings you their music, good old and rugged rock & roll!
