Mother Gaia

Mother Gaia are Linnéa Eriksson (vocals), Oskar Hedenskog (guitar), Andreas Karnung (guitar), Marcus Holmström (keys), Hannes Boeryd (bass) and Niclas Olsson (drums). The six-piece rock band was formed early 2015 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The members’ diverse musical backgrounds have created a fusion of old school rock, grunge, country and soul that stands out from the ordinary. With their heavy, experimental sound and lyrics soaked in love, rage, and melancholy, the band is known for their passionate live performance. It hits you brutally and raw like a long-awaited natural force fused with enchanting melodies and stunning harmonies. Following the release of their debut EP “We are animals” in June 2017, Mother Gaia is now working on a full-length album set to be released in 2018.

Since the start, the band has performed at a range of well known festivals in Sweden, such as West Pride Festival, Trästockfestivalen, Live at Heart and Sommartorsdagarna. A couple of trips to the UK have included visits at The Enterprise and the legendary Dublin Castle in Camden, London, once a second home to acts including Blur, Coldplay, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys and Amy Winehouse. Their home stage is, however, the famous venue Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, that have hosted major acts like Band of Horses, Queens of the stone age, Thin Lizzy and Motörhead before.
